Stop Holding Back & Start Moving Forward (AR #34)

How many times have you felt a desire for something new, something bigger, something better, but then your mind has immediately stepped in and shut it down?

This used to happen to me all the time. It has taken me years to figure out how to release the thoughts, beliefs and stories that hold me back and keep me small, so I can start moving forward.

My desires used to make me really uncomfortable as I never believed I could have what I wanted. So rather than embracing that beautiful inner impulse I would fight with it.

But here is what I have now come to realise.


Desire is the birthplace of expansion

Desire is an inevitable part of your expansion. It is your soul beckoning you into bigger and better things. It is your higher self encouraging you to rise up and ask for more.

Each time you desire something new for yourself or your life, you are going to have to go through a process of growth and change in order to achieve it. You may also have to expand your perceptions of yourself and what you believe you are capable of.

This is a natural and beautiful process, and if you can flow with it, and simply say yes to your desires, you will be able to experience an effortless manifestation of your dreams.

But what most of us do is actually get in the way of these desires. We block them. We stop ourselves moving forward and we end up feeling stuck, held back and frustrated.

If there is any place or area life where you feel held back, it is because you are giving power to the limited thoughts of your mind and you have stopped trusting your inner impulse – that inner desire that is pulling you to expand.

And so today I felt moved to share a podcast episode to support you with this. My intention with this conversation is to help you break free from the limitations of your mind, expand your perception of what you are capable of and begin moving bravely and boldly towards what you want.
